The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force.
Hundeyin, who studied English Language at Lagos State University, also holds a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He has further strengthened his professional profile with a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.
As a professional communicator, he is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
Before this new role, Hundeyin served as Public Relations Officer for Zone 2 Command, Lagos, and later as spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command. His experience also includes representing Nigeria at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. At different times, he worked at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, as an Administration Officer in the Public Relations Department.
