Soldiers attached to Operation FANSAN YANMA have taken into custody two individuals believed to be providing information and supplies to terrorist groups in Sokoto State. The suspects were picked up in Gudu Local Government Area during a routine patrol.
According to updates shared on Saturday by security expert Zagazola Makama through his X account, the arrests took place on September 4. A quick reaction team conducting a fighting patrol around Yaka village intercepted the suspects and detained them.
Military sources explained that the two men are suspected of acting as informants as well as supplying food and other materials to armed groups operating within the region. Both men have since been moved into military custody where further investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of their involvement.
